Chapter 1: New Begginings
“In a smoky, dim lit room ten bodies lay on the floor, shaking uncontrollably. Their bodies arched and straightened in unison as they gasped desperately for air with gaping mouths. The walls pulsed as if some invisible force were attempting to escape. There was an evil in the room that could no longer be contained. Four figures stood at each corner of the room, their faces unseen as they had a thick cloak strewn over their heads. They chanted softly, their voices increasing in volume until the room began to tremble and cracks appeared on the walls; spreading quickly like spider webs. The bodies in the room began to wail and blood dribbled out of their taut lips. Then, fire. I woke up screaming, there was an intense burning sensation that curled up my bare skin like a whip. Someone gripped my arms tightly, almost tossing me out of my bed. I could still see and feel remnants of my dream—bodies flailing in excruciating pain, four demonic figures, and the undeniable darkness that seemed to clutch onto my soul with sharp claws, even as I was wide-awake.”
